A fun race to the CCIW tower and back where the start is staggered with the slowest boat starting first and the fastest boat starting last.
Whoever finishes first wins!
All boats wishing to participate must pre-register by Thursday Sept. 16th so the PHRF calculations can be completed.
Attendance at the Skippers Meeting, which is on Saturday the 18th at 8:30, is mandatory as the starting sequence will be distributed at the meeting.

What: A fun race of about 14.6 miles, and open to all BHYC racers.
Registration
Skippers Meeting Registration must be received by Thursday September 16th by 20:00 hrs. to allow for necessary calculations. Sign up sheet is posted on the results board in the club. Registrations will also be accepted via email to jim@northshoreboatworks.com up to the 11th at 20:00.
Skippers meeting will be downstairs in the BHYC Clubhouse 8:30 hrs, Saturday September 18th. As the start sequence will be distributed at the Skippers Meeting, attendance is mandatory.
Marks: The Starting/Finishing mark will be a yellow PYRA mark approximately .5 nautical miles SE of the inner Bronte lighthouse (43:23.00N by 79:42.00W). The turning mark the CCIW tower located .6 nautical miles off the south end of the Burlington strip at approximately (43.16.22N by 79:45.50W)
The Course: The course will started from the Bronte mark, round the Burlington mark and finish between the committee boat and the Bronte mark. The order in which the marks are to be rounded will be indicated by a red or green flag flown from the committee boat.
Classes: There will be two classes, White Sails Only, and Spinnaker.
Scoring: Based on their respective PHRF-LO rating, the theoretical elapsed time will be used to stagger the start with slower vessels starting first. As this is a Pursuit Race with staggered starts, the first one across the Finish Line Wins!
Starting Sequence: The warning signal will be made at 9:55 hrs, with the first start signal at 10:00. Boats will start according to the schedule provided at the Skippers Meeting in the order prescribed. A sound signal will be made 1 minute before each vessel is to start. It is the responsibility of each vessel to start in the proper order at the proper time. It is suggested that you be around the Start Line early enough to observe several prior starts satisfy yourself that you are starting in the correct order.
Time Limit: The time limit for this race will be 1800 hrs.
Alternative Penalty: The scoring penalty (RRS 44.3) will be used for this race instead of the 720 degree turns penalty for breaking a rule of part 2.
Prizes: Flags will be awarded to the first 3 finishers in each division plus and the first 3 winners overall will also receive a flag. Flags to be presented at Awards Night.
