Junior/Youth Classes start and finish at the Junior Clubhouse on the Bronte Creek West bank.

Acces: West River Street, south from Lakeshore Road.
Class times: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

  1. Personal Flotation Jacket or PFD approved to the Canadian Coastguard Small Boat standard. There will be a CGSB number on the jacket or PFD, and there may be an MOT number also. Inflatable PFDs are NOT acceptable. A pea-less type of whistle (such as a Fox) should be fastened to the PFD. Lifejackets/PFDs MUST be worn while near the water or on a boat.
  2. Wide brim hat or baseball cap and UV absorbent sunglasses with retaining strap.
  3. Two pairs of soft soled shoes, one pair for use on the boats, one pair for use as the dry pair ashore.
  4. One 1 litre plastic bottle of water filled at home.
  5. Waterproof sunscreen SPF 15 minimum suggested. Remember that students could be in the sun up to six hours per day.
  6. Mosquito repellant.
  7. A spare set of dry clothes and a towel.
  8. Light waterproof jacket
  9. Clothing appropriate for that day's forecast.
  10. Lunch, with extra drink. No refrigeration is available, so avoid food that will spoil, even if an insulated bag and ice pack are used. We always have a number of students with a peanut allergy, so - please - no peanut based foods.
  11. The textbook(s) you bought.

Note: All clothing and personal equipment (such as PFD's and insulated lunch bags) should be marked with the student's name and phone number. At the end of each session there is always a tremendous amount of clothing left over, and we are unable to trace the owners. Left over clothing is donated to the Salvation Army.
